A handful of my NorCal-inspired seascape and cityscape paintings are on exhibit at Avenue 12 Gallery in San Francisco. Included is a piece I finished just last week of a rocky shore near Elk, CA; a small painting of Nob Hill in SF; and large 48x64 works depicting Sutro Baths and Ocean Beach.

Inspired by the 1863 Salon des Refusés exhibition in Paris—an exhibit of work rejected by the annual Paris Salon—this SF exhibition celebrates the artists not selected for the 2020 de Young Open. I’m happy to be among this group of incredibly talented individuals! My seascape painting Dappled Sky (48x48 inches) is one of 50+ works being featured.

I’m happy that Striations, one of my abstract seascapes, has been accepted for an exhibition of small works in San Rafael. Juried by Jack Fischer, owner and director of Jack Fischer Gallery in San Francisco, the show can be seen either virtually or in person at the gallery on weekends. You can even browse and purchase the work online, then pickup at the gallery after Dec 6th—in time for the holidays!

Far Out Gallery presents Ephemeral Seas Vol. 2, the second installment of seascape paintings by Jeffrey Nemeroff. Inspired by the coastline of San Francisco where the artist resides, his work investigates that singular moment when the relationship between the sea and sky will never be the same again.

Last summer I was fortunate to have used the studio of artist Jenny Wantuch, so I'm excited to present paintings that I created at the Shipyard during that time—as well as never-before-seen pieces from 2018!

The paintings in this exhibition represent the last 18 months of my studio practice. My previous work was often deeply effected by the sea, so studying it further was a natural progression. These oil paintings—more gestural and of varying degrees of abstraction—are a culmination of my investigation.
