Bust of Man, Blindfolded is an auto-biographical piece that documents my own “chronic pain journey”—both literally and abstractly—while also addressing universal themes such as suffering, isolation, depression, mortality, and even our current climate crisis. I’m honored that Bust of Man, Blindfolded was included in three exhibits in 2022.

Inspired by the 1863 Salon des Refusés exhibition in Paris—an exhibit of work rejected by the annual Paris Salon—this SF exhibition celebrates the artists not selected for the 2020 de Young Open.
