Far Out Gallery
Opening Reception April 6, 1–5pm
artist talk 2pm
On view through Sunday, April 28
Far Out Gallery presents Ephemeral Seas Vol. 2, the second installment of seascapes by Jeffrey Nemeroff. Inspired by the coastline of San Francisco where the artist resides, his work investigates that singular moment when the relationship between the sea and sky will never be quite the same again. Working in layers of glazes and oil, Nemeroff’s paintings blur the line between realism and abstraction, further emphasizing that the experience—and his fading memory of it—is as impermanent as the oceans themselves.
Over the past twenty years Jeffrey Nemeroff has been included in exhibitions in the United States and Asia, and can be found in private collections throughout the United States, Europe, Britain and the Middle East. He currently lives and works in the Outer Richmond district of San Francisco. Far Out Gallery is the vision of gallerist/artist Anne Herbst and is located in the Outer Sunset.
