Serenity: Essence
January 12 – May 10, 2017
Reception: Thursday, January 26 5:30 – 7:30pm
I'm honored to be included in a four month installation at UCSF Women's Health Center curated by Matt McKinley. The exhibition consists of work from five artists that "investigate the intrinsic nature of their chosen subject matter to convey a feeling, a memory or sense of nostalgic connection in order to engender a positive mood." After supporting women's rights over the weekend, I'm happy to continue promoting LOVE by supporting women's health. Below is a statement about the 'Serenity' series from Matt McKinley:
Utilizing art’s proven ability to influence the psychological state of clients, staff and practitioners in medical facilities this exhibit, in keeping with the over-arching theme of the ‘Serenity’ series, is a key contributor to creating a welcoming environment at UCSF’s National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health. The exhibit covers 5 floors of the Women's Health Center: 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 which each artist displaying a complete body of work on their respective floor.
